  • Abstract: We study a random connection model (RCM) driven by a Poisson point process in a general spatial setting. We investigate the light-tailed behavior of connected components in the subcritical regime and establish that the stationary marked RCM, which includes the so-called weight-dependent RCM as a special case, under natural assumptions, exhibits the strong sharpness of the phase transition.
